Alicia Cox

Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours)

Through casts of my body, I create tableware and tablescapes to explore and critique gender roles, function, and the female body as a vessel and object of use.

These reimagined vessels, highlight how domestic objects act as a bodily extension for social performance in the replication and reproduction of everyday roles we enculturate.

Rack I, 2024, slip-cast bone china, spray painted dish rack, 32 x 42.5 x 15 cm.
