My design process is driven by engagement with and a deep understanding of the user: I aim to be guided by the principles of co-design throughout my practice. I find myself drawn to working in Communication Design and designing for print-based media involving typography and large bodies of text.

In this project, I explore the question of the role of alcohol in residential college communities with an investigation into how we might create a more inclusive culture that caters to the idea of drinking as a choice, rather than an expectation. Through a research process involving interviews with residential students, I constructed the concept for Bottlebrush Bar: a university bar that caters to all by positioning alcohol as an addition to an exciting variety of drinks. A visual identity and menu were developed, along with an immersive spatial design, all of which were inspired by Australian flora.
